Played the game. Loved it. Then listened to the soundtrack after; took the time to fully appreciate it. I had to. This album brings me places, really. Tedy A
This soundtrack is more sharply dissonant than the prior two, in the best of ways. At times cacophonous, there's many times - especially in the 30m of the blockbuster finale in tandem with the three prior build-up pieces - where musical phrases cut short before they've completed. That's what the album feels like: something's deeply wrong with the world, and lives are cut short before their time. It's desperate, on edge, and every minute of that finale is worth it every time. Austin Wintory has a lengthy discography rooted in both games and film and all of his releases have been amazing. I haven't played Erica but I've listened to this score dozens of times. It's emotive and brilliant in its composition. VenusAdonis
